ANALYTICAL BIBLIOGRAPHY

The Bibliografia analitica di S. Caterina da Siena, providing information on Italian and foreign publications on St. Catherine, comprising the studies held in the years 1901-1951 was printed for the first time in 1971 by the Centro Nazionale di Studi Cateriniani and Lina Zanini. Later on it was published in subsequent volumes by M. Carlotta Paterna, till the volume comprising the studies of the years 1991-2000. For the years 2001-2010 the Bibliografia analitica, edited by Gabriella Anodal, Anna Cucchiella, Martina Damiani, Daniela Magdan, Osvaldo Martellucci and Anna Maria Martinelli with the co-ordination of Margherita Breccia Fratadocchi, is available in a printed format and on-line as well, through the specific database that is created by Italo Lazzarini; it collects 626 bibliography cards concerning publications in many languages (Italian, English, French, German, Polish, Spanish, Catalan, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Czech, Hungarian, Swedish, Estonian, Croatian).

The present on line version is periodically updated by a drafting committee (Anna Cucchiella, Daniela Magdan, Elena Malaspina, Anna Maria Martinelli, Daniela Petrucci) with the co-ordination of Margherita Breccia Fratadocchi and the collaboration of Daniela Magdan. Italian and foreign publications are reported, concerning Catherine’s writings, thought, spirituality and also on her historical, cultural and artistic context and her afterlife. Apart from the more strictly scientific studies on the Catherine’s writings translations are also indicated as well as contributions with spreading character or occasional, like short articles, brochures, multi-media publications, the content of which would be someway significant to the knowledge about Catherine. To facilitate the use, different keys of research have been foreseen, that is author, title, year of publication, place, editor, subject, following a classification scheme opportunely realized towards this specific Bibliography.
